Guidelines of the Special Funding for Proposal Translation

I. Background

In order to encourage the Non-Chinese language foreign faculty members to participate government-funded project application aiming at enhancing UIC research quality, UIC earmarked a special funding to support Non-Chinese Speakers to translate their proposal into Chinese.

II. Eligibility

All full-time foreign faculty members interested in applying for the following government-funded projects are eligible to apply the transplantation special funding. The applicant must be the principal investigator of the applying project.

(a)     National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC)

-       Key Project

-       General Project

-       Young Scholar Project

(b)    Humanities and Social Science Fund of Ministry of Education

-       General Project

-       Publication Project of Outstanding Academic Works

III. Translation Funding Policy

IV.   Endorsement

Application should be submitted to RDKTO for endorsement before the translation.

V. Required Application Materials

(a)     Proposal in English (original version)

(b)    Proposal in Chinese (translated version)

(c)     Payment Request Form with the name and bank account of the translator (non-applicant)

VI.  Application Period

Open for application all year round.
